Accommodation and lunches

The participants will stay in the Cracovia, a three-star hotel in the centre of Cracow. We have arranged a special price of 35€ per person in a single room and 30€ per person in a double room; breakfast included. We have reserved 70 single and 25 double rooms. Information about the Cracovia hotel is available at:

the official web page of the Cracovia hotel.

You can find the location of the hotel in the city centre plan. It is only ten minutes walk from the Main Square and to the Institute of Mathematics of the Jagiellonian University.

Lunches will be available in a restaurant near the Larische Palace (Conference Hall, 12 Bracka Street) for approximately 12€. Details will be announced shortly.

How to get the Cracow?

The best way to get to Cracow is to take an airplane. Kraków-Balice International Airport is located 11 km to the west from the centre of Cracow. More information, especially about connections, can be found at:

http://www.lotnisko-balice.pl/ang/index.html

There are two possibilities to get from the airport to the Cracovia Hotel. You can take either a taxi or a bus. The first takes about 20 minutes and is about 35 zl (8€) and on weekends 50 zl (12€). If you want to go by bus, you should take the bus number 192 which will take you directly to the hotel. The bus goes three times an hour, the journey takes about 25 minutes and the ticket costs 2,4 zl (0,5€).

If you have an airplane to Warsaw you can go from there to Cracow by train. There is about one train per hour. The journey takes about two hours and a half. Tickets cost beetwen 70 and 110 zl (15€ - 25€). More information about trains and connections is available at:

http://www.pkp.pl/en/indexen.html

When you decide to get to Cracow from Warsaw (or from any other place) by train, there are three possibilities to get from the Railway Station "Kraków Główny" (Central Station in Cracow) to the Cracovia Hotel.

The first possibility is to take a walk through the oldest part of Cracow and it takes about half an hour. Choosing this possibility You can see The Royal Way including The Main Square and then the oldest University Campus. You should start going through the Planty Park close to the Slowacki Theater and then streets: Pijarska, Floriańska, Main Square, Saint Anna Street, Jagiellońska, Gołębia and finally Piłsudskiego Street. See all the details at the plan of the city.

The second way is to take a taxi. The journey lasts about 15 minutes then and it is beetwen 10 and 15 zl (3€ - 4€). You can take it just near the way out from the platform of the station.

There is also a very good connection by bus or tramway. The tramway number 15 and the buses number 124, 152, or 192 from "Dworzec Główny" bus stop, at the Lubicz Street, takes You directly to the Cracovia Hotel ("Cracovia" bus stop). It takes about 15 minutes and is 2,4 zl (0,5€). You can find exact placement of bus stops at the following page:
