Numerical approach to estimating the Kalton-Roberts constant

Abstract: In 1983, Kalton and Roberts proved the existence of a universal constant such that, for any 1-additive function and any algebra of sets, there exists a finite, signed, and finitely additive measure on this algebra within a supremum metric distance bounded by this constant. In 2020, Guzik, Gnacik, and Kania developed a numerical framework for estimating a lower bound for the Kalton-Roberts constant. In my talk, I will describe this approach and discuss potential refinements to obtain better results.
